About Teks Shooting Club
Teks Shooting Club is a competitive practical shooting club based just outside Trichardt, committed to safety, discipline, and community.
- Our range is located near Trichardt on the Bethal Road and serves shooters from surrounding areas including Bethal, Evander, Kinross, Secunda, and Trichardt.
- We are affiliated with the Mpumalanga Practical Shooting Association (MPSA), the South African Practical Shooting Association (SAPSA), and the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC).
- Monthly IPSC-style club shoots begin with registration and safety induction, then run through staged courses of fire overseen by certified officials.
- Members have opportunities to compete locally, provincially and nationally — and several have proudly earned national colours in world competition.
Certified Range Officers
All shoots are supervised by trained and certified Range Officers who ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and competition rules. Their authority on the range is final, ensuring every event runs safely and professionally.
Strict Cold Range Policy
Teks operates as a cold range. Firearms remain unloaded at all times except under direct instruction during a course of fire. This policy significantly reduces risk and reinforces disciplined firearm handling.
Mandatory Safety Induction
All new members and visitors must complete a safety induction before participating. This includes range procedures, safe handling practices, and a clear understanding of club rules to maintain a secure environment for everyone.
IPSC Compliant Standards
Club shoots follow International Practical Shooting Confederation standards, ensuring fair scoring, structured courses of fire, and competition formats aligned with provincial and national bodies.
